PLM is pleased to introduce its new "X" Series coupler for use in permissible mining environments.  This explosionproof coupler has been designed and tested to the most current MSHA and Pennsylvania Bureau of Mines requirements.  Each coupler features phase contacts that are held in place by simple to install lock-nuts.  The extended body ground facilitates easy removal of the insulator flange in order to provide easy access to the back-end of the insulator/contact assembly.  Unlike other permissible couplers, no sealing "milk" is required.  A special, flame-retardent, insulator provides a high level of tracking and corona resistance.
